| Q: | What is Revit MEP? |
| A: |
Revit MEP is the building information modeling design and documentation software for MEP engineering. It's an intuitive design tool that works the way engineers think.
|
| Q: | Is the Revit MEP software the product that used to be called Autodesk Revit Systems? |
| A: |
Yes. Revit MEP was formerly known as Autodesk Revit Systems. To better align our product line with the needs and requirements of our customers in the AEC Industry, Autodesk has modified the names of some of our products, which you will see reflected in our new 2008 product line.
|
| Q: | What is Revit? |
| A: |
Revit software is Autodesk's platform for building information modeling. Applications such as Revit MEP, built on the Revit platform, are complete, discipline-specific, building design and documentation systems supporting all phases of design and construction documentation. At the heart of the Revit platform is the Revit parametric change engine, which automatically coordinates changes made anywhere.
|
| Q: | Does Revit MEP support sustainable design through building performance analysis? |
| A: |
Yes. Revit MEP allows engineers to make better decisions through the use of building performance analysis in support of sustainable design. You will be able to perform heating and cooling load analysis within the Revit model and more, including daylighting thermal and energy analysis with the IES virtual environment (IES VE).
